This is a K model, meaning it has the external style of the newer AI lenses but lacks the AI meter coupling. It uses the same optical formula as the previous Nikkor H. C. lens. No K appears on the lens itself. It has the bunny ear metering prongs but lacks the AI ridge or AI S indent so it will only meter properly on F, F2, and Nikkormat cameras without modification.
